SUPERSTAR!

My hubby is definitely a Superstar! He got up at 2am(!), picked up our nephews, and went down to Circuit City to get in line for the doorbusters. (I, on the other hand, have the anguish of working today and was unable to attend the busting of the doors.) He then waited from 3am until 5am for the store to open. Luckily, Papa John's came by with free personal pizzas and the Boy Scouts (I think) came by with hot chocolate! What a great idea!!! We are now the proud owners of a new flat screen for our master and twin model laptops to replace my 5 year-old one that is dying. No more fighting over the puter! Even better, there's no interest for 36 months! Gotta love financing! Thanks babe!!! :)

Wednesday

Could it be?

Read the caption: "The minute we said our vows I couldn't stop crying." Uh, yeah. I wouldn't be able to stop crying either if I married that douche!

Instant Smile.

I was driving home from a Pre-Turkey happy hour last night and went past a few communities that have put up their light displays. Only a few are starting this early, but it brings an instant smile to my face when I see them. It's a fine line between beautiful and tacky, but both of them make me smile and/or laugh, depending on how many large plastic baby Jesus' there are. :) Hopefully this year I can figure out my camera well enough to capture some clear shots of my favorite displays.

Monday

Playing Games.

Ah, yes. Game playing. My girls and I like to play a little game called "Is it a shirt or is it a dress?" I find that the bars downtown are most conducive to this game, as the young ladies there are a bit more, how do you say, "loose" in their manner of dressing. The single fashion tip I'd like to impart on them is this: just because it covers most of your butt does not make it count as a dress.

(Please note: Whitney was wearing teeny shorts under this shirt/dress. The photo was simply used for editorial impact.)

Friday

That's what it's all about.

MMMmmmmm, that's right. Pour that syrup on, don't just drizzle it. Drizzling is for the weak.

This pic is the epitome of my blog title. Love it. Delicious. In fact, had bagels been in the house last night, that would have been dinner. Alas, the only flaw in my desire is that most breakfast places close around mid-day. That is why on Saturday mornings I purchase a 2 day supply from Bagel Boyz...Breakfast for Breakfast, Breakfast for Lunch, and my fave---Breakfast for Dinner.

Wednesday

I am a cliche.

It's official. I've become a cliche. All this time I've been able to resist the lure of the delicious coffee, but I have fallen victim. "Bucky's" (as my friend Chris calls it) makes a mean cup of cocoa! I've been loving the White Hot Chocolate and today got the Salted Caramel Hot Chocolate. It's all Jill's fault. I blame you for taking me there. Although, Bucky's certainly doesn't beat what must be just melted chocolate in Williams-Sonoma's hot chocolate. Mmm....delish!

Friday

TGIF!!!

TGIF everyone!!! It's casual Friday here at the office and I'm decked out in my best casual pink. Pink polo, khakis, pink Jack Rogers sandals...all as a pitiful excuse to use my new pink bag that I just finished making in sewing class last night. Notice a trend here? Uh, yeah, I really like pink. It's cutie patootie and I'll post a pic as soon as I add that final finishing touch.

What are your plans this weekend? Tomorrow I'm having breakfast with Santa and then I'm off to sell my awesome Tupperware goodies at a Holiday Bazaar my community is having. Then on Sunday, given the awful cold front with an impending 70 degree high, I will don my fave Ugg knockoffs and hunker down in my home office to sew away on some fun projects.

Thursday

WAKE UP!!!

Wakey wakey! Time to get out of that morning haze and present yourself to the world. I got ready to this song this morning. I dare you not to get upbeat and maybe just a little bit hyper after hearing it. Total blast from the past. Love it. Check it out.
P.S. Jilly, my R&B Jazz loving friend...enjoy. :)

Christmas in November!

It's officially Christmas in November!!! My huge yearly stock-up order from beauty mecca Sephora arrived yesterday. Such glee I experienced when I found 2 large boxes waiting on my front door that I did a little dance, jumped up and down, and proceeded to run upstairs with them and devour the delivery. Each bundle of products came in it's own red satin satchel, much like Santa's very own satchel. I got some staple items and some new items just waiting to be approved and accepted into my beauty routine. Among others, I received new Stila eyeshadows, a supply of Bare Minerals, my favorite Nars Orgasm blush, Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer for those low-maintenance weekends, a new Boscia mask that brightens my skin like nobody's business, a new Ole Henrikson night gel with those ever-popular antioxidants, my Phyto 7 leave-in hair treat, and so many others. Thank you, Sephora. You made my day! Now I can't wait to play!

Wednesday

Free Stuff!!!

Ok, kinda free, but not really, but still sorta free. The library!!! You can borrow books, videos, and cd's for free! I stopped using the library shortly after college. I guess I just forgot about it...that, or I was just trying to block it out because of all the studying and whatnot. Every time I get obsessed with a new hobby (I'm pretty fickle, so this actually happens more often than you'd think. Currently, I'm onto sewing and quilting. Family hint: guess what you're getting for Christmas! lol) I hop on the library's website, put a hold on the books I want, and *poof* there they are waiting for me at the front desk. I don't even have to find them on the shelves anymore!

What's funny is that it seems many others have caught onto this great resource. No matter what time I go, the library is always packed! I guess the downtrodden economy is stimulating the library more than the bookstores. Go figure! :)
